Amanda’s legacy lives on in us as we find tremendous hope and purpose in helping others through the foundation we started in her name.

THE FOUNDATION

Amanda’s husband Allen, her brother Matthew, and one of her best friends Michelle, lead the charge to carry her legacy forward through the Amanda Pair Foundation. Utilizing the power of community, we’re working to overcome cancer through our three-pronged approach: caring for families, funding research, and investing in the next generation.

Our Three-Pronged Approach

CARING FOR FAMILIES

During Amanda’s illness, support came pouring out from the community in countless ways. We endeavor to meet each family with the same level of care to help lighten their load through meeting needs in any area– financial, social, emotional, or spiritual.

FUNDING RESEARCH

Lung cancer is the third most common form of the disease, but it accounts for more deaths than any other type of cancer. We focus our research funding on lung cancer and ROS-1 cancers, which is the mutation causing Amanda’s illness.

INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION

Investing in students and their education was a core part of Amanda’s volunteerism. We continue this work by awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park and exemplifies the core values of the VHELP Rebels.

“We knew that if we did things the way Amanda would do, we would be successful and help a lot of people.”

Her way of doing things formed our guiding principles:

AMANDA VOLUNTEERED HER TIME AND TALENTS DILIGENTLY AND ENTHUSIASTICALLY, AND WE LOOK TO HER AS OUR INSPIRATION FOR RUNNING THE AMANDA PAIR FOUNDATION.
